For Atlas Jiu Jitsu, I undertook two distinct yet thematically connected apparel design projects, each aimed at leveraging the power of community and visual communication to support crucial causes. The 'Operation Rolling for Resistance' initiative, focused on combating veteran suicide, demanded a design that fused the intensity of jiu-jitsu with the gravity of the cause. Similarly, the 'Parkinson's Fight Team' project, dedicated to fundraising for Parkinson's disease, required a design that conveyed unwavering determination and collective support. Here, I balanced a fighting spirit with a hopeful tone, using dynamic, athletic-inspired visuals and a vibrant color palette to empower and unify the community. The overarching goal was to create wearable symbols of solidarity that fueled community support and awareness, demonstrating the power of design to amplify vital messages and drive meaningful change.
